Christmas Giving Tops $21k
OUR GIFTS OF LOVE
Sycamore View's Christmas giving tops $21,000
To herald the Savior's birth, three wise men brought with them gifts of love. Fit for a King, these offerings foreshadowed the gift that He would later give—his own life. For over two-thousand years we have celebrated this "first-born of all creation." It is because He gave that we also give.
As a group of committed disciples, we believe that God has called us to live out the gospel in an effort to give the world a better view of Jesus. With a spirit of generosity this Christmas season, Sycamore View gave. And gave.
The grand total of this years gifts topped over $21,000 in the form of presents for children associated with Agape and the Shelby County DCS foster care system, winter coats and blankets, and the Streets Ministries Christmas Store. Because of your commitment to help restore hearts, relationships, and communities, were able to help over 300 children in the Memphis area!
We gave in response to that which God continually blesses us. Thank you for your generosity and willingness to help the least of these this holiday season. Here are just a few of the gifts we were able to bring Memphis!
- 68 winter coats and blankets were collected and given to HopeWorks and Memphis Union Mission.
- Our Children's Ministry purchased $1,500 worth of gifts for Streets Ministries Christmas Store.
- 60 Packed-n-Love tubs filled with presents for children in the DCS foster care system ($12,000).
- We provided gifts for 100 Agape kids through Agape's Secret Santa Project ($7500).
