Sunday—Living Worship

Word for the day: Romans 12:1, 1 John 2:6, John 15, 1-11
Prayer Purpose: that God will cultivate a community of “living sacrifices”
Pray for God to transfer our Sunday allegiance into an every day allegiance.  

Monday—Authentic Discipleship

Word for the Day: Acts 4:24-31, Luke 9:23-26, Galatians 4:19
Prayer Purpose: that God will mold us into the image of Jesus.
Pray for God to help us to imitate everything that Jesus is about. Spend a few moments engaging Jesus in the gospels today as you pray.  

Tuesday—Peace & Diversity

Word for the Day: 2 Cor. 5:16-21, Eph. 2:21, Isaiah 19:19-25
Prayer Purpose: for the peace of God to be established in the hearts of all humanity.
Pray for peace throughout city, country, and world Pray for God to help SVC look more like Memphis and that Memphis will look more like SVC. Pray for God to raise up more minority leaders for us at SVC.  

Wednesday— 38134 & 38126


Word for the Day: Luke 10:2, Acts 1:8, 1 Timothy 2:4
Prayer Purpose: that the Kingdom of God will come on earth as it is in heaven.
Pray with boldness that God will redeem people in these zip codes. Ask God to help us claim this community as the harvest that is plentiful.  

Thursday—Materialism and Greed

 
Word of the Day: Luke 12:13:31, James 5:1-6, Amos 6:4-7
Prayer Purpose: that God will be the only god before us.
Pray for God to release our grip from the things of this world.  

Friday—Marriages and Purity

 
Word of the Day: 2 Corinthians 7:1, Ephesians 5:21-33
Prayer Purpose: that God will cultivate stronger marriages in 2009 than ever before.
Take time to pray against sexual addictions and all forms of pride and selfishness Pray for God to keep our teenagers and our young adults pure.  

Saturday—Compassion and Justice

 
Word of the Day: Colossians 3:12-17, Luke 10:23-37, Micah 6:6-8
Prayer Purpose: that God will give us eyes to see the world as He sees it.
Pray for us to rejoice in the things God rejoices in and to be grieved by the things that grieve God.    

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine…” (Eph.3:20)
