John Wesley once said, “Revelation was not written without tears; neither without tears will it be understood.” I think he also agree that it is not preached without a lot of tears too.
I believe the Lord pressed Revelation on my heart last year because it has so much to teach us about what it means to be faithful witnesses to Jesus in the 21st century. This is more than a book about the bad guys, decoding, and trying to know the playbook for the end of times. This is a book about the living, reigning Christ. Revelation is a gift to the church, and for the next few months, we are going to drink deeply from it.
