HOSPITALS:
ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
Lane Benafield, grandson of Veronica Veltman’s aunt, finished some of his radiation treatments and got to ring the bell, however was readmitted to St. Jude and has started on two different antibiotics as he is having some of the same issues he experienced with the last virus although this time with less nausea, but more bleeding; requests prayers that this passes quickly, that his body responds to treatment, and that he can be home again soon.

Dennis and Leslie Irwin in the death of their son, Adam Irwin, late Wednesday night, January 21st, following a battle with Stage 4 bile duct cancer. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Saturday, January 31st, at the Collierville Funeral Home, 3863 Bailey Station Road, Collierville, TN 38017; the visitation will begin at 10:00 am and the funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 12:00 pm.
SHOWER SCHEDULED FOR:
Meagan Leonard and “Baby Drew” on Sunday, February 15th, from 2:00-3:30 pm in the Front Lobby at Sycamore View Church. They are registered on Babylist.
PRAYERS REQUESTED:
Steve Harris, former member of SV, now at home following visit to West Cancer Center yesterday to receive a three hour/three bag iv drip; will need to return next Thursday, January 29th, for treatment if he is well enough; his wife, Rhonda, is working on getting home health care for him; requests prayers that they will be able to find someone who can come in a few times a week and also for patience and healing.
Martha Benafield, aunt of Veronica Veltman, had pulmonary tests last week and saw a geriatric psychiatrist yesterday, January 22nd; will go to St. Francis the first week of February for an echocardiogram and heart ultrasound; requests continued prayers for improved health.
Jerry Rowland, had tests with neurologist on Tuesday, January 20th; results indicate that he did have a seizure; has been prescribed medication and is not able to drive for 6 months; requests prayers for patience and complete healing.
Veronica Veltman, had an orthopedic appointment on Tuesday, January 20th, for a follow up visit for her knee; is now able to drive and has not had to wear her foot brace for several weeks; knee is still bothering her and doing some very light physical therapy on her knee; requests continued prayers for complete healing.
Martha Jackson, continuing to recover from successful knee replacement surgery on her left knee last Friday, January 16th; requests prayers for minimal pain and complete healing.
Leslie Whiteside, requests prayers as she deals with her latest diagnosis of severe sleep apnea and the issues that it involves; is scheduled for a sleep study on February 14th, so realizes it will be difficult for a while; requests prayers for less anxiety and more good days of peace and comfort; requests prayers for our country, for all the blessings in her life, and for her son and his family and two others and their families.
Carl Bobo, is now back at the Pearl House as of last week after being admitted to ER at Methodist Germantown Hospital where he was being treated for dehydration, sepsis, and UTI; doing much better and will be able to have visitors in a few days.
Carol Warbritton, now at home recovering from successful prolapse rectal surgery; will require at least 6 weeks of recovery time; requests prayers for a quick and complete healing.
Cherise Clark, requests prayers as she wants to truly connect with the Holy Spirit and to learn more, but also for her spirit to be invaded by the Holy Spirit and to truly become friends.
Janika Smith, requests prayers that her heart can gain more understanding of the Holy Spirit and asking for prayers that the Holy Spirit be filled in her.
David Jordan, heard God say there is a “breakthrough” coming during Courtney’s prayer during Sunday’s service; requests prayers for the Holy Spirit to hover over our city and change Memphis “for the Kingdom come here as in heaven”, as Jesus prayed and lived out, and that we begin to see the manifestation in 2026 through God.
Donovan Long, requests prayers for peace in his mind and heart.
Nasstasia Hicks, requests prayers as she wants to work more on her faith with learning more and getting a clearer understanding to have blessed assurance of her salvation.
Andrea Johnson, requests prayers for improved behavior of an employee which would allow a better workplace environment.
