PRAISE THE LORD:  


CONGRATULATIONS ARE EXTENDED TO:  

Paul and Doris Foree in the birth of their great grandson, William Bryte Dacus, on Saturday, November 9th. William weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz. and was 20 3/4 inches long. His parents are Trey and Mallory Dacus.


SYMPATHY IS EXTENDED TO:  

Lenora and Chris Meyer and Family in the death of Lenora’s father, James McKinzie, on Saturday, November 9th. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm today, November 14th, at Nale’s Funeral Home, 31 S 4th St., Albion, IL, and the funeral service will be held at 10 am on Friday, November 15th, at the same location. Burial will follow in the West Village Christian Church Cemetery in rural Albion where military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 8222 and American Legion Post 590.  Memorials may be given to the VFW Avenue of Flags and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Veronica Veltman and Family in the death of her father, Doug Simmons, on Wednesday, November 6th, at the Ocean Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ocean Springs, MS. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Denise Henson and Family, former members of SV, in the death of her husband, Robert Henson, who passed away on Friday, November 1st. There will be no funeral service or celebration of life ceremony, but instead the family asks for your thoughts and prayers as they take this time to grieve privately as a family and honor his memory in their own quiet ways, carrying forward the love and legacy he left them.

The Family and Friends of Mary Harris, former member of SV, who passed away on Sunday, October 27th. Funeral services were Friday, November 1st, at Forest Hill Funeral Home-East, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN.


SHOWER SCHEDULED FOR:  

Baby Girl Shower for Gabbie and Jesse Adkins scheduled for Sunday, November 17th, from 2:00 - 3:30 pm at Sycamore View Church in the Front Lobby. They are registered at babylist.com.


PRAYERS REQUESTED:  

Glenda Sheehy, mother-in-law of Veronica Veltman’s sister, dealing with medical issues and surgeries due to numerous falls causing broken hips and femur bone as well as infections; also prayers for Veronica’s sister who has been Glenda’s caretaker for years and who is also dealing with the death of her and Veronica’s father.

Kevin South, now at home following hospital stay at Methodist North regarding a UTI infection that showed many markers of sepsis; doing much better and requests continued prayers for a complete recovery.

Aaron Hines, son of Kathy Hines, while having a heart stent put in on Monday, November 4th, the doctors discovered that several large heart arteries were blocked; received one stent last week and currently taking meds to treat other two blockages; after meeting with the cardiologist on Tuesday, will receive another stent on Monday, November 18th, which in conjunction with heart meds, should be a better option instead of a CABG; currently at home and is going back to work for the first time today; still planning on moving to Washington DC in January; requests prayers for complete healing and recovery.

Stacy Ellington, scheduled for knee replacement surgery on Monday, November 18th; requests prayers for a safe surgery and successful healing process.

Pepper Totten, visitor of SV, requests prayers to be led in his professional life.

Leslie Whiteside, is thankful for God answering so many of her prayers in a positive way as she is seeing improvement in her balance and walking as well as other areas of her life; requests continued prayers for her son and his relationship with God.

David Shelby, is now at home receiving home health care as he continues to recover from surgery on October 30th for a partial hip replacement for a broken left hip; surgery went well; requests prayers for a quick and complete recovery.

Dianne Johnson, is now at the Ava Maria Home in Bartlett for rehab as she continues to recover from surgery for a broken hip due to a fall; surgery went well and continued prayers are requested for complete healing and a quick recovery.

Joy Force, former member of SV, has been discharged from rehab and continues to recover from surgery for a broken leg suffered from falling down a flight of stairs; prayers requested for complete healing.

Rene Curley, prayers of thanksgiving as her sinus surgery on Thursday, November 7th, was successful and she is now on the road to recovery; requests prayers for complete healing.

Wayne Ray, recovering from a six-hour procedure on Wednesday of having some teeth removed and receiving an upper implant; prayers for a quick recovery.

Carolyn Harris, now at home following surgery Tuesday, November 5th, to remove a non-cancerous lump on her hip; requests prayers for complete healing.

Michael “Steve” Harris, former member of SV, has been scheduled for operation procedure at Baptist East Hospital on Wednesday, November 20th, as he continues to deal with throat and vocal issues following recent tracheotomy; currently at home receiving home health care.

Jessica Laitinen, has been informed that the surgery originally scheduled for November 8th for her back issues will now be scheduled for sometime in January; has also been told that she will have to have a surgeon who will be willing to do her after care and pain medication because they will not provide the medication across state lines even though she will have to have surgery done in another state due to insurance issues; requests prayers for patience, that her current pain will decrease, and that her surgery might be able to be scheduled sooner.

Bryce Jones, cousin of Kim Chapman, admitted to Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX, on Monday, November 4th; has begun his 10 rounds of chemo which will be followed by the stem cell transplant procedure for bone marrow cancer; requests prayers for Bryce and the donor to stay healthy and continued prayers also for his wife, Beth, as she cares for him.

Dan Shappard, former member of SV, fell down stairs at their farm in Kentucky and broke the 7th cervical vertebrae in his neck; now at home wearing a collar 24/7; is scheduled for an MRI on November 20th; his bruises are starting to fade and he is starting to resume most of his normal activities; family feels very fortunate that his injuries were not worse; requests prayers for strength, minimal pain, and quick and complete recovery.

Larry Lawhon, brother of LeAn Ramsey, has been transferred to rehab for physical therapy in Pittsburgh, Kansas; continuing to struggle and requests prayers for him to regain strength following back surgery.

Wayne McDaniel, cousin of Suzanne Jones, requests continued prayers as his recent routine three-month MRIs and CT scans on October 8th indicated a new lesion on his liver; had an X-ray of throat last Tuesday and it did not show anything; doctors are in process of determining a new treatment plan; lives in Baton Rouge, LA.
