HOSPITALS:  

ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL - BARTLETT, 2986 Kate Bond Rd., Bartlett, TN 38133 - 901-820-7000
Jason Howard, Room 246, currently dealing with a bone infection due to a foot ulcer; will be on antibiotics for several more weeks; requests prayers for complete healing and a quick recovery.

METHODIST UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL, 1265 Union, Memphis, TN 38104 - 901-516-7000
Ben McCormick, Room 726, Shorb Tower, recovering from surgery for liver cancer and removal of lymph nodes; had some complications so had to go back into surgery to rework bile duct so it would flow properly; requests prayers for minimal pain and a quick recovery.  

PRAISE THE LORD:  

Aida Davenport was baptized into Christ at Sycamore View Church on Sunday, October 26th. Aida is the daughter of Shannon Davenport.

Kevin Lipe and Family in the death of his grandfather, Vance Oliver Lipe, on Saturday, November 1st. Funeral services are scheduled for today, November 6th, at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, 412 Main Street, Greenville, Mississippi.

PRAYERS REQUESTED:  

Marsha Spears, sister of Dennis Spears, requests continued prayers as dialysis for acute kidney injury continues; IV infusion treatments will also continue for the next couple of months.

Dewey McCoy, now at home continuing to recover from triple bypass surgery performed on Thursday, October 30th; surgery went well; requests prayers for quick and complete healing.

Leslie Whiteside, now at home continuing to recover from left knee replacement surgery on Monday, November 3rd; requests continued prayers for healing and a quick recovery.

Joe Curtis, former member of Sycamore View, is now in hospice care in Fremont, California; he and his family are asking for prayers for peace, warmth, and comfort during his transition.

Lane Benafield, grandson of Veronica Veltman’s aunt, will have 20 rounds of low does radiation as he recovers from surgery that removed his right kidney, a mass in his abdomen, and lymph nodes; his last day to receive radiation will be December 11th; will also begin chemo again as well; requests prayers for successful chemo and radiation treatments and a quick and complete recovery. 

Gigi Marrero, mother of Efrain Marrero, was moved to a skilled memory care facility in Huntingdon, TN, on Monday, November 3rd; prayers are requested for Gigi and for the Marrero family.

Ken Gurley, recovering at home from a car accident; dealing with some coughing and breathing issues, but thankful for all the safety features of his vehicle that prevented the accident from being more serious; requests prayers for a quick and complete healing.

Tekia Lillard, daughter of Randy Lillard, requests prayers as she has been diagnosed with a congenital heart defect; surgery will be scheduled sometime before the end of the year.

Jamie Sowell, has started another new medicine and has been experiencing unwanted side effects from the last medicine she was given for her treatment; requests prayers for minimal side effects from this new medicine and toleration of all her medications as long as she is on them; also requests prayers for her family as they help her navigate these challenges.

Martha Benafield, aunt of Veronica Veltman, dealing with a rare mutation cell in her bone marrow that produces too many red/white blood cells and too many platelets; currently going to West Clinic every 2 weeks to get her blood levels checked and receive treatment which keeps her fatigued; requests prayers for less fatigue and complete healing.

Veronica Veltman, requests prayers as she deals with a fracture above her ankle on the right side due to a fall; orthopedic doctor did more X-rays and said she does not need surgery nor a cast; received a better boot that is more comfortable and will support the area that is fractured better; scheduled for follow up visit on December 10th; currently not able to drive; requests prayers for healing of her ankle and fewer spells of vertigo.

Carl Bobo, is feeling better and has moved from Methodist Germantown Hospital to The Villages of Germantown Skilled Care Unit, 7930 Walking Horse Circle, Room 1105, Germantown, TN; he is now out of isolation and would enjoy visits but will need to let them know your name and that you are a friend from Sycamore View; please leave a little note so Carolyne can remind him of your visit.
