Michael “Steve” Harris, former member of SV, ICU, surgery this morning, November 20th, for throat and vocal issues went well; surgeons were able to remove all of the cancer, checked the margins, and feel confident it is completely gone; will remain in the hospital for about two weeks on a feeding tube; prayers of thankfulness for a successful surgery and prayers now requested for minimal pain and total recovery; prayers also for his wife, Rhonda, who has been and will continue to be his at-home caregiver.

Paul and Doris Foree in the birth of their great grandson, William Bryte Dacus, on Saturday, November 9th. William weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz. and was 20 3/4 inches long. His parents are Trey and Mallory Dacus.
SYMPATHY IS EXTENDED TO:
Lenora and Chris Meyer and Family in the death of Lenora’s father, James McKinzie, on Saturday, November 9th. Funeral services were Friday, November 15th, at Nale’s Funeral Home, 31 S 4th St., Albion, IL. Burial was in the West Village Christian Church Cemetery in rural Albion where military honors were conducted by VFW Post 8222 and American Legion Post 590. Memorials may be given to the VFW Avenue of Flags.
Veronica Veltman and Family in the death of her father, Doug Simmons, on Wednesday, November 6th, at the Ocean Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ocean Springs, MS. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

PRAYERS REQUESTED:
Dan Shappard, former member of SV, scheduled for an MRI today, November 20th, regarding a broken cervical vertebrae in his neck from fall down stairs at their farm in Kentucky; has been at home wearing a collar 24/7, but thankful that he has been able to resume most of his normal activities; requests continued prayers for strength, minimal pain, and quick and complete recovery.
Stacy Ellington, now at home recovering from knee replacement surgery on Monday, November 18th, at OrthoSouth; requests prayers for a successful healing process and complete recovery.
Aaron Hines, son of Kathy Hines, had stent surgery on Monday, November 18th, in St. Louis, MO; received two stents and surgery went well, however he had an event following the surgery that was painful, but was treatable with medication and was able to go home after observation; Kathy drove up on Monday to help with post-surgery care; Aaron is still planning on moving to Washington DC in January; requests prayers for complete healing and recovery.
Jamie Whartenby, requests prayers as after several years of being a cancer survivor, doctors have discovered new cancer in her body; scheduled for an MRI on Tuesday, November 26th; requests prayers for strength, peace, complete healing and recovery.
Leslie Whiteside, is thankful to God that she was born in the USA, for her past and present family, and for their health and safety; requests continued prayers that God will make an impact on her son’s life as well as the son of a friend, and that God will continue to support her with courage, confidence, and strength when walking.
Bryce Jones, cousin of Kim Chapman, now at home on a two-week monitor and transfusion program with Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX, to hopefully wipe out all of his blast cells and prepare him for stem cell transplant procedure for bone marrow cancer; so far chemo is working as numbers are heading in the right direction; requests prayers for Bryce and the donor to stay healthy and continued prayers also for his wife, Beth, as she cares for him.
Glenda Sheehy, mother-in-law of Veronica Veltman’s sister, dealing with medical issues and surgeries due to numerous falls causing broken hips and femur bone as well as infections; also prayers for Veronica’s sister who has been Glenda’s caretaker for years and who is also dealing with the death of her and Veronica’s father.
Kevin South, now at home and back at work following hospital stay at Methodist North regarding a UTI infection that showed many markers of sepsis; doing much better and requests continued prayers for a complete recovery.
Pepper Totten, visitor of SV, requests prayers to be led in his professional life.
Dianne Johnson, is now at the Ava Maria Home in Bartlett for rehab as she continues to recover from surgery for a broken hip due to a fall; surgery went well and continued prayers are requested for complete healing and a quick recovery.
Rene Curley, prayers of thanksgiving as her sinus surgery on Thursday, November 7th, was successful and she is now on the road to recovery; requests prayers for complete healing.
Jessica Laitinen, has been informed that the surgery originally scheduled for November 8th for her back issues will now be scheduled for sometime in January; has also been told that she will have to have a surgeon who will be willing to do her after care and pain medication because they will not provide the medication across state lines even though she will have to have surgery done in another state due to insurance issues; requests prayers for patience, that her current pain will decrease, and that her surgery might be able to be scheduled sooner.
Larry Lawhon, brother of LeAn Ramsey, has been transferred to rehab for physical therapy in Pittsburgh, Kansas; continuing to struggle and requests prayers for him to regain strength following back surgery.
Wayne McDaniel, cousin of Suzanne Jones, requests continued prayers as his recent routine three-month MRIs and CT scans on October 8th indicated a new lesion on his liver; doctors are in process of determining a new treatment plan; lives in Baton Rouge, LA.
