HOSPITALS:  

METHODIST GERMANTOWN HOSPITAL, 7691 Poplar, Germantown, TN 38138 (901-516-6418)
Carl Bobo, West Room 427, is now in a room and resting calmly after being admitted to ER on Tuesday, being treated for dehydration, sepsis, and UTI; is now able to have visitors.

ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
Lane Benafield,
grandson of Veronica Veltman’s aunt, finished some of his radiation treatments and got to ring the bell, however was readmitted to St. Jude and has started on two different antibiotics as he is having some of the same issues he experienced with the last virus although this time with less nausea, but more bleeding; requests prayers that this passes quickly, that his body responds to treatment, and that he can be home again soon.

Family and Friends of Sue Cheney, our sweet sister in Christ at Sycamore View, who passed away early Saturday morning, January 3rd, following a week of critical care issues at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett. Visitation is scheduled for 10:00 am on Friday, January 9th, at Sycamore View Church and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the same location.

Dennis Rogers, Kevin Rogers, Megan Louderback and Families, in the death of Dennis’ mother and Kevin and Megan’s grandmother, Blanche Mae Rogers, on Monday, December 22, 2025. Funeral services were Friday, January 2nd, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN 47303.

Dennis and Paula Spears, in the death of Dennis’ sister, Marsha Spears, on Tuesday, December 30th, at her home following multiple health issues. There will be no funeral service other than a possible family event.

Sue Newbill and Family in the death of Sue’s sister, Viola Denecke, on Friday, December 26th, in Fredericksburg, VA. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.


SHOWER SCHEDULED FOR:  

Meagan Leonard and “Baby Drew” on Sunday, January 25th from 2:00-3:30 pm in the Front Lobby at Sycamore View Church. They are registered on Babylist.  


PRAYERS REQUESTED:  

Leslie Whiteside, has been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea which explains her anxiety and feeling off balance; is not scheduled for a sleep study until February 14th, so it will be difficult for a while; after the study, she will need a few weeks to start getting good rest; requests prayers for less anxiety and more good days of peace and comfort.  

Adam Irwin, has been diagnosed with cancer of the liver and also has some spots on his lungs; now at home and has an appointment scheduled at West Clinic today, January 8th; treatments should begin the following week; the family requests continued prayers for patience and healing.

Miyah Clark, daughter of Denita Deaton, court date is scheduled for Monday, January 12th, where a plea will be entered; requests prayers for guidance, patience, and peace for both Miyah and Denita.

Carol Warbritton, now at home recovering from successful prolapse rectal surgery on Tuesday at St. Francis - Memphis; will require at least 6 weeks of recovery time; requests prayers for a quick and complete healing.

Veronica Veltman, is able to start driving this weekend and has not had to wear her foot brace for 2 weeks; knee is still bothering her and doing some very light physical therapy on her knee; will go back for orthopedic appointment on January 20th for a follow up visit for her knee; requests continued prayers for complete healing.

Martha Benafield, aunt of Veronica Veltman, has stopped her West Clinic treatments for now as they had her sleeping so much that she was not eating and was always fatigued and getting more confused; her blood levels have reached a normal range and hoping that after stopping the treatments she will start feeling better; will wait until spring to revisit if she should begin treatments again or not; requests continued prayers for improved health.

Donovan Long, requests prayers for peace in his mind and heart.

Nasstasia Hicks, requests prayers as she wants to work more on her faith with learning more and getting a clearer understanding to have blessed assurance of her salvation.

Andrea Johnson, requests prayers for improved behavior of an employee which would allow a better workplace environment.
