Room 305 South, admitted Friday night as she is dealing with COVID; receiving breathing treatments, antibiotics, and medications; feeling better today; requests no visitors at this time.

Room 3351, recovering from a successful surgery yesterday, February 14th, due to a swelling in his thumb where the infection had gone into the next joint and needed to be removed; requests prayers for a quick and complete healing.

ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
Lane Benafield,
grandson of Veronica Veltman’s aunt, continues to go to St. Jude for chemo treatments; received a chemo treatment on Wednesday, January 28th, requests prayers that his numbers recover quickly and smoothly and that he receives good scan results.

Rhonda Harris and Family in the death of her husband, Steve Harris, on Friday, February 13th. Steve was a former member of SV. The visitation is scheduled for 9:00 am on Friday, March 6th, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119, and the funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 10:00 am at the same location.

Daniel and Maggie Jamerson and Family in the death of Daniel’s mother, Connie Jamerson, on Tuesday, February 3rd. Connie was a former member of Sycamore View Church. The funeral service was Wednesday, February 11th, at Shackleford’s Funeral Home, 160 West Cypress Avenue, Selmer, TN 38375.

Veronica Veltman and Family in the sudden death of her cousin, Kenny Duvall, late Sunday evening, February 8th. Kenny was the son of Martha Benafield. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Dennis and Leslie Irwin in the death of their son, Adam Irwin, Wednesday, January 21st, following a battle with Stage 4 bile duct cancer. The Celebration of Life Service was Friday, February 6th, at the Collierville Funeral Home, 3863 Bailey Station Road, Collierville, TN 38017.

Johnny and Angela Edwards and Family in the death of Johnny’s grandmother, Glenda Edwards, on Sunday, January 25th. The funeral service was Friday, February 6th, at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, AR, and the burial followed at the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector, AR.


SHOWER SCHEDULED FOR:  

Meagan Leonard and “Baby Drew” today, February 15th, from 2:30-4:00 pm in the Front Lobby at Sycamore View Church. They are registered on Babylist.  


PRAYERS REQUESTED:  

Glenn Hailey, scheduled for heart surgery on Tuesday, February 17th, at Baptist East Hospital, where he will have a Watchman device installed on his heart to eliminate blood thinners and to prevent strokes and correct AFIB; requests prayers that it will be a successful one-day surgical procedure.

Veronica Veltman, has a follow up appointment with her orthopedist on Thursday, February 12th; her knee is much better and has spent most of last week caring for her Aunt Martha; requests continued prayers for complete healing.

Teresa Morris, currently working on getting a biopsy scheduled as doctors have discovered a large mass on her right kidney; as of last week no longer wearing heart monitor, but continues to deal with high blood pressure; requests prayers for good results and improved health.

Leslie Whiteside, requests prayers as she continues to deal with her latest diagnosis of severe sleep apnea and the issues that it involves; requests prayers for less anxiety and more good days of peace and comfort; requests prayers for our country, for all the blessings in her life, and for her son and his family and two others and their families

Aaron Hines, former member and son of Kathy Hines, currently attending the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, PA; heart cath on Tuesday, February 5th, at John Hopkins Hospital went well; he received one stent and is now recovering at home; requests continued prayers for peace of mind with health and current work schedule at the War College.

Stacy Ellington, is now at home continuing to recover from surgery on Tuesday, January 27th, for a broken hip due to a fall on the ice; continues to experience a lot of pain and continuing PT at home; requests prayers for a complete recovery.

Martha Benafield, aunt of Veronica Veltman, the results of her pulmonary tests indicate that she has COPD and is now taking Trelegy to help; will soon go to St. Francis to the geriatric psychiatrist and the cardiologist for an echocardiogram and heart ultrasound; requests continued prayers for improved health.
