50 for 50

THE STORIES OF SYCAMORE VIEW

We are part of ongoing, unfolding story that God is still writing.

Here’s what we believe:

That we stand on the shoulders of those who have gone before us. That we carry on the legacy of God’s faithfulness. That we continue to take risks because it’s in our DNA. We refuse to tread water or to play it safe, because we are a church that believes that helping people see Jesus is not just a statement; it’s a way of life.

We are a part of an ongoing, unfolding story that God is still writing.

In 1978, God opened doors and provided ways for a group of about 150 people to launch a brand new church at 1910 Sycamore View Road called Sycamore View Church of Christ.

In 2028, Sycamore View Church will turn 50 years old, and we want to do this right. We want to use the next few years as a season of reflection and preparation: reflection concerning all God has done through this church and preparation for God’s future here.

So we’re launching what we’re calling “50 for 50.”

Telling fifty stories.

Over fifty months.

Celebrating fifty years.

At the beginning of every month until the spring of 2028, we will release a new story celebrating events, ministries, people, and risks, all in attempt to honor ways God has shaped and formed this church. After the release of each video, a 50 for 50 podcast (hosted by Anna Moser) will drop to elaborate on the story. So, download and subscribe on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music.
