Serving others is one of the primary ways we honor our commitment to God. If we’re honest, serving is also a big part of our identity as a church. Behind each of our amazing ministries there are gifted Ministry Team Leaders that have been equipped and empowered by our Shepherds to lead. MINISTRY TEAMS
ADULT FAITH MINISTRY
Our Adult Faith Ministry Team exists to facilitate the spiritual formation and discipleship of the adults at Sycamore View. The primary responsibility of the Adult Faith Team is to coordinate and plan adult Bible class offerings on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Our Children’s Ministry Team exists to come alongside parents as they raise their children to see and follow Jesus with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. We will seek to provide the children of our church with opportunities to serve as active participants in order for them to realize their vital role in our church family.

YOUTH MINISTRY
Our Youth Ministry exists to help ignite a passion in teens to follow Jesus. We want to give each student a safe place to belong, opportunities to grow their faith, and experiences that deepen their love for God and His mission to serve others.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY
The Women's Ministry exists to provide Sycamore View women with opportunities for spiritual growth while making connections with other women, improving physically and mentally, learning new things, and having fun.

Our Men’s Ministry exists to engage men of all ages who are seeking deeper relationships with other men and wanting to dive deeper into their relationship with God.

MARRIAGE MINISTRY
Our Marriage Ministry exists to equip couples with biblical principles that will help them establish the knowledge and skills to help them maintain healthy marriages through God’s original plan.

WORSHIP MINISTRY
Our worship team exists to help the body of Christ at Sycamore View to glorify the Father through music. Vocalists, instrumentalists, and audio/visual engineers use their gifts to edify the body and help people worship together.

Rev. 7:9 (Multiethnic)
Our team exists to help Sycamore View Church become more multi-ethnic and socio-economically inclusive to better help all people see Jesus.

Compassion Ministry
The Compassion Ministry Team exists to serve the Sycamore View family and the 38134 community. Currently, the team offers the Daily Bread Pantry, which serves anyone in the 901 add and is creating opportunities to connect and care for our homeless neighbors. They also assist families in the 38134 with financial needs.

Hospitality Ministry Team
The Hospitality Ministry Team exists to help Sycamore View become a more unified family as we celebrate together, mourn together, and manage our resources in God-honoring ways. (Events, showers, celebrations, meals, etc.)

Urban Missions (901)
This ministry team exists to support our strategic partners. These are organizations that are doing kingdom work in Memphis, so we strive to encourage them with prayer, volunteers and other resources. Our current parters are Agape, HopeWorks, Shelby Oaks Elementary, Kingsbury Middle & High School, Boys & Girls Club, Harding School of Theology & SOMA (U of M campus ministry).

Local missions (38134)
The Local Missions (38134) exists to serve and support Sycamore View-based ministries that arise out of our own zip code. These ministries include Handprints (foster/adoption support), Celebrate Recovery, Sunday Samaritan and the Children’s Clothing Sale.

Global missions (3:16)
Our 3:16 Ministry Team exists to strengthen the relationship between the Sycamore View family and the international teams our church supports. This team works to increase awareness of how God works on various mission sites and to provide our church with opportunities to connect with our missionaries.

The Finance Ministry Team exists to help guide the church as successful stewards of Christ’s money.

The Facilities Ministry Team exists to ensure that our church family is being a good steward of the physical resources God has provided to us for worship, discipleship, and serving our community.

Our Safety & Security Ministry Team exists to make the church campus a location where its staff, members, and guest can enjoy an environment where safety and security risks are regularly identified, reviewed, and mitigated.
