Part of Pat’s summary from March 2024 Matthew 24 ‘How Jesus Became King’ sermon:
7 things to remember:
Disciples are to be faithful and attentive.
The present is not permanent.
Present distress is worth enduring through whatever the cost because of the reward.
God will overcome anything that stands in his way of establishing the kingdom.
Rome (or substitute any nation) is not the future. The reign of Jesus is the future.
The church keeps going because the resurrected Jesus is driving it.
How we wait impacts how we live.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL HEALTH
WoW cares about connecting women to resources and help for physical and mental health! Below are some books chosen by our members who have had these struggles so that it may help you!
Lynn Bowie Recommends…
‘Hillbilly Elegy’ by J.D. Vance
“J.D. Vance explains how his life began in poverty and turbulence and what he had to do to beat those difficult circumstances and rise to success.
Vance highlights how family support improves potential for success. He also describes how American culture is in crisis – especially poor, white, Americans, even those making efforts to move into middle class life. They are never fully capable of leaving their legacy of poverty and its social ills behind.
Hillbilly Elegy is about the struggle of upward mobility.”
