Teresa Morris, now in recovery following an ablation to take care of a heart arrhythmia issue this morning, Thursday, October 2nd; will possibly go home later today; requests prayers for a quick recovery, minimal pain, and a successful procedure.

ENCOMPASS HEALTH REHAB HOSPITAL, 4100 Austin Peay Hwy., Memphis, TN (901-213-5400)
Marsha Spears, Room 912, sister of Dennis Spears, has been moved to inpatient rehab and continuing to deal with renal failure; requests prayers for complete healing of her kidneys; will continue IV medication and hemodialysis; requests prayers for recovery of her kidneys from the medications that she is being given.

Emily Chapman in the death of her grandmother, Ethel Jackson, on Wednesday, September 24th, in Southaven, MS. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, October 3rd, at the Covington Funeral Home, 3499 Highway 51, Covington, TN 38019.

The Family of former member, Shayne Scanlon, who lost his life on September 13th in a motorcycle accident. A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, September 27th, at New Hope Christian Church in Bartlett, TN.

Russ and Liana Nixon and their Family in the recent death of Russ' cousin's 37-year-old daughter and their dear friend, Andrea Whalen, who died unexpectedly in her sleep on August 31st.  Andrea and her husband, Carl, suffered losing four of their babies, and her surviving son, Theo, is just 5 years old and her stepson, Elijah, is college age. Prayers also for Andrea’s father, Sid Reed, who is Russ’ cousin and who lives in Cordova. Funeral services were in Cincinnati, Ohio, on September 17th.  Prayers of strength, comfort, and the peace that surpasses all understanding for Andrea's family and all who love and miss her.

Russ and Liana Nixon in the death of Russ’ brother, Michael Paul Nixon, who passed away in Texas on August 27th, from frontotemporal dementia.  Funeral services were held on September 5th in Texas.  Continued prayers are requested for his widow, Cheryl, and their daughters and grandkids and all the Nixon family.

PRAYERS REQUESTED:  

Kevin Myers, now at home following knee replacement surgery this morning, October 2nd, on his right knee; requests prayers for minimal pain and a quick recovery.

Alan McLaughlin, friend of Zach and Jamie Sowell, is now at home following hospitalization regarding an abscess; continuing antibiotics and will have follow up visits with medical team to keep track of condition; requests continued prayers for minimal pain and for guidance in treatment decisions with so many unknowns.

Carole Warbritton, now at home from hospital where she was admitted and diagnosed with a colon infection; doing better and will see doctor for follow up today, October 2nd; also experiencing a swollen foot; requests prayers for better movement in her feet and a quick and complete recovery.

Jamie Sowell, has had her last two radiation treatments; had visit with her primary care doctor and medical oncologist this week for next steps; requests continued prayers for herself and her family as they undergo her health care as a family.

Debi Rauchle, scheduled to see a hematologist at West Clinic on Tuesday, October 14th, due to blood clots which were discovered in her right lung from X-rays of her hip that were originally taken due to a fall while in Florida; currently on blood thinners; prayers for strength and complete healing.

Christina Tapper, sister-in-law of Paula Spears, requests prayers for healing following a recent hospital stay; also prayers for her brother, Marty, regarding stress issues.

Dylan Smith, son of Hope Greenwood and grandson of Robert and Ann Smith, is now home from his accident recovering from a broken shoulder and broken kneecap. Please pray for his complete healing and for Hope and his family as they care for him.

Jeanene Wingett, mother of Jim Wingett, is now home. Please pray for her continued healing.

Russ and Liana Nixon as September is the "anniversary" month of when they lost their only baby, Bray Lee.  They were able to attend a memorial service at the "National Memorial for the Unborn" in Chattanooga, TN, where they placed their baby’s memorial brick in the garden; requests continued prayers for God to help them be a light to their grieving family members including those who are not Christians. 

Carol Weiner, after several weeks, is no longer wearing a heart monitor; is scheduled for a nuclear heart test in October; requests prayers for peace and good test results.

Bobby Nations, is now home from his procedure for his aneurysm and recovering well.

Leslie Whiteside, thankful for the recent rain and beautiful weather, for all the blessings that God bestows on us every day and for our families, friends, and neighbors; requests prayers for her son and friends’ sons to repent and lead their families to God; also requests prayers for our country to unite and be respectful of each other and for each of us to examine ourselves and help the marginalized.
