HOSPITALS:
ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
Lane Benafield, grandson of Veronica Veltman’s aunt, finished some of his radiation treatments and got to ring the bell, however was readmitted to St. Jude and has started on two different antibiotics as he is having some of the same issues he experienced with the last virus although this time with less nausea, but more bleeding; requests prayers that this passes quickly, that his body responds to treatment, and that he can be home again soon.

Family and Friends of Sue Cheney, our sweet sister in Christ at Sycamore View, who passed away early Saturday morning, January 3rd, following a week of critical care issues at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett. Funeral services were Friday, January 9th, at Sycamore View Church.
SHOWER SCHEDULED FOR:
Meagan Leonard and “Baby Drew” on Sunday, January 25th, from 2:00-3:30 pm in the Front Lobby at Sycamore View Church. They are registered on Babylist.
PRAYERS REQUESTED:
Miyah Clark, daughter of Denita Deaton, the plea that was offered yesterday, January 12th, was not accepted by the DA, therefore a new court date has been scheduled for March 9th for a different plea resolution; requests continued prayers for guidance, patience, and peace for both Miyah and Denita.
Martha Jackson, scheduled for knee replacement surgery on her left knee on Friday, January 16th; requests prayers for a successful surgery, minimal pain, and complete healing.
Carl Bobo, is now back at the Pearl House as of last night after being admitted to ER at Methodist Germantown Hospital last Tuesday, January 6th, where he was being treated for dehydration, sepsis, and UTI; doing much better and will be able to have visitors in a few days.
Leslie Whiteside, thankful to God for all the blessings in her life; currently requesting prayers for our country, for her son and his family and two others and their families; and also prayers for herself as she deals with her latest diagnosis of severe sleep apnea and the issues that it involves; is scheduled for a sleep study on February 14th, so realizes it will be difficult for a while; requests prayers for less anxiety and more good days of peace and comfort.
Cherise Clark, requests prayers as she wants to truly connect with the Holy Spirit and to learn more, but also for her spirit to be invaded by the Holy Spirit and to truly become friends.
Janika Smith, requests prayers that her heart can gain more understanding of the Holy Spirit and asking for prayers that the Holy Spirit be filled in her.
David Jordan, heard God say there is a “breakthrough” coming during Courtney’s prayer during Sunday’s service; requests prayers for the Holy Spirit to hover over our city and change Memphis “for the Kingdom come here as in heaven”, as Jesus prayed and lived out, and that we begin to see the manifestation in 2026 through God.
Adam Irwin, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 bile duct cancer; scheduled to have excess fluid drained on Thursday, January 15th, and have a port-a-cath implanted; on Friday, January 16th, will have his first chemo treatment along with immunotherapy and his schedule of treatments will be 8 cycles, where he receives treatment 1 day a week for 2 weeks followed by an “off week” before the next cycle; although they did not receive the news they had hoped for, are thankful there is a treatment plan for either slowing the cancer growth or reducing the size of the tumors and requests prayers that Adam’s body responds well to treatment and that he has minimal side effects all the while taking comfort in knowing that Adam is in God’s hands.
Carol Warbritton, now at home recovering from successful prolapse rectal surgery last week; will require at least 6 weeks of recovery time; requests prayers for a quick and complete healing.
Veronica Veltman, is now able to drive and has not had to wear her foot brace for several weeks; knee is still bothering her and doing some very light physical therapy on her knee; will go back for orthopedic appointment on January 20th for a follow up visit for her knee; requests continued prayers for complete healing.
Martha Benafield, aunt of Veronica Veltman, has stopped her West Clinic treatments for now as they had her sleeping so much that she was not eating and was always fatigued and getting more confused; her blood levels have reached a normal range and hoping that after stopping the treatments she will start feeling better; will wait until spring to revisit if she should begin treatments again or not; requests continued prayers for improved health.
Donovan Long, requests prayers for peace in his mind and heart.
Nasstasia Hicks, requests prayers as she wants to work more on her faith with learning more and getting a clearer understanding to have blessed assurance of her salvation.
Andrea Johnson, requests prayers for improved behavior of an employee which would allow a better workplace environment.
